You’re not alone. Join us!

Our fast-growing NCF Locals movement is proving hugely successful, with nearly 30 groups now established across the country and many more to come.

We ask that anyone wishing to come to an event registers for NCF Locals beforehand. Registered NCF Locals participants who have RSVPd for an event may add non-registered guests to the event using the form below.

The aim of our NCF Locals programme is to create local spaces for people to meet kindred spirits, socialise and feel free to have discussions and express their thoughts and opinions. Too often we hear that people feel alone and isolated. We aim to help end that. You'll also have a chance to meet some of our NCF team and occasionally from guest speakers too.

Registering will also give you access to our online discussion forums, contact groups and other resources so that you can feel part of things even if there is not yet an established group within easy reach.  There is no financial or other commitment beyond our NCF Locals Community Guidelines, which require respectful and discreet conduct at all times.

Registration should take no more than a couple of minutes to achieve and will then allow you to RSVP for any of our events that are listed. Please note that the registration process includes an email sent to your inbox with a confirmation click link.

After your registration is completed, the NCF Locals team will allocate you to a group or region closest to your locality.  Please allow 24 to 48 hours for that to happen, though it is often same day.

NCF Locals Community Guidelines (February 2024)

The purpose of NCF Locals groups is to allow ongoing conversation and association for like-minded people interested in, and concerned about, developments in culture and society in the UK.

It is intended that discussions will be conducted in an atmosphere of goodwill and courtesy towards all members.  We hope that participants can enjoy open and honest expression and discussion of views, and on exchanges of ideas. By sharing in this way, everyone will get a better understanding and together move closer to the truth on any subject.

Each NCF Locals group will also have its own contact groups, including but not limited to a community news & chat group, to allow an ongoing online conversation between people in the Local group. Participants in a group can choose to participate in this chat group, but this is not mandatory.

Each NCF Locals group organiser will act as moderator of chats and other interactions at their discretion, although the aim is for the minimal moderation consistent with free ongoing conversation.

NCF Locals groups exist to encourage free and fearless examination of issues, with a view to gaining a better understanding of any issue.  It is worth noting that gross generalisations regarding large groups of people are unlikely to be in the spirit of open-mindedness and truth-seeking which Locals seeks to foster, and we look for respectful interaction at all times.

Whether online or at an in-person event, these guidelines apply for the benefit of all who participate.

If anyone has a concern, they should email locals@newcultureforum.org.uk in the first instance.
